Abstract

PURPOSE:To smoothly perform the shift to reproducing state, by suppressing the fluctuation in the rotating speed of a disc at a temporary stop, through a track jump at readout point of a pickup means at each prescribed rotation of the disc at the temporary stopping state. CONSTITUTION:A tracking error signal of a pickup 1 is applied to a tracking signal processing circuit 2 and a driving coil 4 controlling the position of a mirror or a lens constituting the pickup 1 is operated via a driving circuit 3 with a tracking control signal outputted. An output of the circuit 2 is given to a number of revolution detecting circuit 6. The circuit 6 is provided with an LPF7 to pick up the fundamental frequency component caused by the eccentricity of the disc, that is, the frequency component having a period caused through one revolution of the disc. The component is converted into a pulse signal at a zero cross detection circuit 8 a one shot circuit 9 is driven and a track jump pulse generating circuit 5 is triggered, allowing to achieve track jump at each one revolution of the disc.
