Abstract

PURPOSE:To speed the operation of a motor and to improve focusing precision by providing a means of varying the turning speed of the motor with the pulse width of a pulse signal and of prescribing the minimum limit of the pulse width. CONSTITUTION:Signals inputted from a focus detector to input terminals 1 and 2 are converted by comparators 3 and 4 into rectangular wave signals A and B. For example, the signal B leading the signal A in terms of phase. In this case, the signals A and B are inputted to an EX-OR gate 6, which supplies a phase difference signal C to an OR gate 10. The signals A and B are passed through an OR gate 7 to operate monostable multivibrators 8 and 9 by the signal B. The output E of the monostable multivibrator 8 is inputted to an OR gate 10, whose output signal H has pulse width greater than that of the signal C. The output signal F of the monostable multivibrator 9, on the other hand, serves as the clock signal of an FF11 to latch the signal C. The signal H and G are ANDed by an AND gate 12, whose output is inputted to an EX-OR gate 13, thereby controlling focusing by flowing a current IM, which depends upon a difference voltage K from a signal J from an FF5, to a motor M. Consequently, the speed of the motor is increased and focusing precision is improved.
