Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the captioned heat exchanger by a method wherein frames 1 for forming elongated heat exchanging air passages are bent in a zigzag fashion to thereby provide two kinds of air passages and primary and secondary air inlets are provided on one side and the primary and secondary air outlets are provided on the other side of each of the air passages in the same plane in which the air inlets are provided.
CONSTITUTION: The frames 1 for forming the elongated heat exchanging air passages are bent in a zigzag fashion to thereby form rectangular corrugated first and second air passages 2 and 3. Then, the upper, the lower and the side surfaces of these air passages are covered with an upper covering frame 9, a lower covering frame 11 and covering plates 6 and 7, respecively. In this case, ventilating ports 4 and 5 are provided for the first and second air passages 2 and 3 on the side of the covering plate 6 by the upper and lower covering frames 9 and 11 and the covering plate 6. Likewise, ventilating ports 10 and 12 are also provided on the side of the covering plate 7. Thus, the primary and secondary airs designated by the solid line arrows 13 and 14 are introduced into the primary and secondary air passages 2 and 3 from the ventilating ports 4 and 10 and taken out from the ventilating ports 5 and 12, respectively, as designated by the dotted lines arrows 13 and 14.
