Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize both a confirmation of connection and a detection of fault without adding any hardware corresponding to a circuit, by adding a connection test function which can transmit and receive different pattern signals for confirmation of call bus in correspondence to the circuit. CONSTITUTION:A pseudo signal is generated to a time-division channel and a digital switchboard 1 formed with the control part of the said channel, and a control is tested for the switchboard 1. For this purpose, a digital pseudo call generator 2 is provided. A pseudo call control circuit CC is provided to the generator 2, and different signals are generated from pattern transmitting circuits PATS 0 and 1 under the control of the circuit CC to confirm the call bus. Then the pattern signals are transmitted to highways #0HW-#nHW from originating process circuits 0 and 1, and then received at a pattern receiving circuit PAPT through incoming process circuits 0 and 1 based on an operation of a maintenance panel NP of the switchboard 1. Thus both a confirmation of connection and a detection of fault are made possible without adding any hardware corresponding to each of highways #0HW-#nHW.
