Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable electrochemical machining (ECM) of a large number of workpieces at one setting by providing plural sets of working electrode for both front and back surfaces of a workpiece and machining time-lag between both surfaces, and by leaving tacking parts connecting a workpiece with a mother material. CONSTITUTION:A working electrode 1 has a working portion A corresponding to the front side watch case profile and a working electrode 1' has a working portion A' corresponding to the back side case profile. Furthermore, the working electrode 1 is provided with working portions B corresponding to the tacking part profiles. ECM is carried out with a time-lag by using the working electrode 1 and 1' as cathode and the workpiece as anode. Since watch side case 4 is supported by the mother material 2 and several tacking parts 3, no short circuiting with the working electrode takes place. The side case is completed by cutting-off the tacking parts.
