Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the storage stability, coloring sensitivity, and water-proofness of a heat-developing diazo recording material, by using a salt of a water-insoluble higher aliphatic amine and trichloracetic acid as a heat developer. CONSTITUTION:A recording agent solution containing a diazo compound (e.g., 4-diazo-N,N-diethylaniline), a coupling agent (e.g., resorcinol), an acid stabilizer (e.g., citric acid), an antioxidant (e.g., thiourea), and a high-molecular binder (e.g., polyvinyl alcohol) is mixed with a dispersion containing a heat developer of the formula (where R1 is a C12-C18 alkyl, R2 is a C12-C18 alkyl, methyl, or H, R3 is methyl or H, and X is trichloroacetic acid) (e.g., dodecylammonium trichloroacetate or hexadecylammonium trichloroacetate). The mixture is then applied on a base and dried to obtain an objective heat-developing diazo recording material.
