Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a disk form substrate having excellent stability, by a method wherein only the part in proximity to the center of a base material for a disk form substrate is firstly pressed against a plate-shaped master form provided with an ultraviolet-curing resin thereon, and then the peripheral part of the base marerial is sequentially brought into close contact with the master form. CONSTITUTION:An ultraviolet-curing resin 2 is provided in an annular form on the part in proximity to the center of the plate-shaped master form 1, the peripheral part of the base material 3 for the disk form substrate is supported by a supporting cylinder 4 from below, and only the part in proximity to the center of the base material 3 is pressed against the master form 1 by a cylindrical pressing means 5. As a result, the resin 2 is a little spread toward the center of the base material 3 and is widely spread toward the peripheral part of the material 3. Then, the cylinder 4 is lowered, whereby the resin 2 is spread over the entire surface of the base material 3. After curing the resin 2 by exposing to ultraviolet rays, the base material 3 is released from the master from 1 to obtain the objective disk form substrate having the ultraviolet- curing resin layer on the base material 3.
