Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to match the phases of the output currents of respective unit inverters forming a multiplexed current type inverter device by controlling in pulse width modulation one of the unit inverters and energizing the other unit inverters in the phase of 120 deg.. CONSTITUTION:When a power inverter 3A is controlled with respect to a current pulse width modulation PWM, a power inverter 3B is energized in phase of 120 deg., a synthesized current (i) can be set in the same waveform as the output current iA of the inverter 3A and the output current iB of the inverter 3B by matching the phase of the output current iA to that of the inverted output current iB and modulating the synthesized current with respect to pulse modulation. Since the phases of the currents iA, iB and (i) are in the same phase, the operating power factors of the respective unit inverters become the same. The PWM control circuit may be set only to the inverter 3A, thereby reducing the cost of the inverter device and improving the reliability of the device.
