Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure the fixing stability for continuous copy, by providing two thermosensitive elements in the axial direction of a roller to control the temperature and preventing the local overheat on the surface of the roll to prevent the generation of offset and the thermal destruction of a rubber layer or the like. CONSTITUTION:The first thermosensitive element 4 is placed in the center of an effective fixing region approximately, and the second thermosensitive element 5 is placed in the end part on the driving side, and they are provided so as to slide on the surface of a heat roller 1, and an equal detection temperature (165 deg.C) is set to them. For normal single copy, only the thermosensitive element 4 is operated. For continuous copy, only the thermosensitive element 4 is operated at the copy operation start time to control the temperature, and after a prescribed time (for example, 10min), only the thermosensitive element 5 is operated to control the temperature. In the second example, the detection temperature (170 deg.C) of the thermosensitive element 5 is set to a value higher than that (160 deg.C) of the thermosensitive element 4, and they are operated simultaneously, and the heat source is controlled on a basis of respective temperature detections.
