Abstract

PURPOSE:To economize in power and prevent the deterioration of a developer, by providing a carrying mechanism for carrying the developer to a developer storage part and using a doctor blade as a constituting member of the developer storage part in the developing device of a dry electrophotographic copying machine. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 10 which faces to a photosensitive drum 3 of a dry electrophotographic copying machine consists of a nonmagnetic developing roller 1, a doctor balde 2 which controls the height of a developer 8 on the outside circumferential face of the developing roller, magnets 6 which face to the tip of the doctor blade 2 and are provided inside the developing roller 1, a developer storage part 13 which guides the developer 8 to a developing roller 1 and is surrounded with the doctor blade 2 and a supporting end 14, and carrying mechanisms 4, 22, and 23 which carry the developer 8 to the developer storage part 13; and therefore, the quantity of the developer moving in the magnetic field is justified to be small, and power for rotation of rollers is economized, and pressure is not applied to the developer to prevent the deterioration.
