Abstract

PURPOSE:To convey the magnetic toners stably to the developing part without disturbing magnetic latent images by mounting a non-magnetic spacer to the portion of a non-magnetic sleeve opposing to a recording drum, fixing the non-magnetic sleeve and revolving the magnet rolls. CONSTITUTION:A non-magnetic spacer 8 is mounted to the portion of a non- magnetic sleeve 2 opposing to a recording drum 1. The non-magnetic sleeve 2 is fixed and magnet rolls 3, 4 are revolved. The magnet rolls consist of a magnet 3 having a plurality of magnetic poles extending in the axial direction of the non- magnetic sleeve 2 and a shaft 4. Magnetic toners 7 are attracted onto the non- magnetic sleeve 2 to form a magnetic brush, thence the magnetic latent images on the recording drum 1 are developed by the magnetic brush. Even if the magnetic force of the magnet roll is about 500 gauss required for stable conveying of the magnetic toners, the magnetic force in the developing part may be weakened to 10-500 gauss.
