Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten a time up to the starting of recording by setting the stopping position of a recording body, held in readiness for recording, on the upstream side of a stage for enabling reuse and near the stage. CONSTITUTION:When a power switch 19 is turned on, a main relay 15 operates to power up a power source 18 of a control system and an AC driving system 17. Once the power source 18 of the control system is turned on, a central processor CPU starts operation. The CPU receives a signal from a fixing device control circuit 29 to confirm that a heater turns on, and then turns on a motor and a discharger. As the motor starts rotating, a timing counter TPCOU counts up to set the mask of the INT1 of the CPU. When the motor stops, a recording body moves and an ineffective recording area stops on the upstream side of the discharger and light before a driven side roller. Thus, a time up to the starting of recording is shortened.
