Abstract

PURPOSE:To release heat surely only at the necessary time and eliminate wasteful power consumption by operating a timer upon ending of copying operation and stopping a heat release fan upon lapse of a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:On starting of copying operation, a fan motor FM is driven and the heated air from a fixing roller or the like is released. When the copying operation ends, the timer in a CPU starts counting, and after lapse of a predetermined time T when the heated air is released surely, a transistor Q is turned on to turn a relay K off. When the copying is started again prior to the lapse of the time T, the timer is reset to start counting again, and after the time T, it interrupts the motor FM, and therefore the wasteful driving of the fan is not accomplished. When a main switch SW is turned off during counting, the DC power source Vcc of the CPU is used. Thereby, the air is released surely without wasteful power consumption.
