Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to carry out solar heat exchanging action of high efficiency, by a method wherein a magnetic fluid into which particulates of a magnetic metal are dispersed evenly is used as a thermal medium, and solar heat concentrated by a reflector plate is made to absorb directly into the particulates within the magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic fluid provided by dispersing a magnetic metal or its oxidized particulates (for example, a magnetic material, such as dark brown iron hydroxide) in a liquid (example, silicone oil) having inferior thermal conductivity and superior thermal stability is used as a thermal medium, in a solar heat exchanging heat collector which is made to absorb solar heat concentrated by a reflector plate through a thermal medium. The solar heat concentrated by the reflector is made to absorb directly into the particulates dispersed within the magnetic fluid, and the particulates are heated effectively through mutual radiant heat among the particulates and thermal conductivity of the silicone oil. Sufficiently heated very hot magnetic fluid, therefore, can be circulated to a heat exchanger, and a heat exchanging action by the heat exchanger can be carried out highly effectively.
