Abstract

PURPOSE:To make efficient oscillation possible by dividing mold side walls mounted with ultrasonic wave oscillators at prescribed intervals in axial line and circumferential directions by every oscillator in the axial line direction. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of ultrasonic oscillators 4 are mounted at prescribed intervals in axial line and circumferential directions to side walls 3 of a mold for continuous casting. The side walls 3 are formed of side walls 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d which are divided by each disposed part of the oscillators 4 in the axial direction. The mutual interferences of plural pieces of the oscillators 4 with each other are eliminated by the above-mentioned oscillator for the molds for continuous casting, and the efficient longitudinal wave oscillations are generated in the inside surfaces of the walls 3.
