Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily and quickly pull up a cut-off gate even when the river water rises by using a system in which an opening is provided between a fixed dam and a levee, and one end portion of a cut-off gate is attached in vertically movable manner to the door groove on the levee side. CONSTITUTION:When the river water rises, the hooking lever 24e of a lifting beam 24 is coupled with the hooking lever 16e of a cut-off gate 16, and the cut- off gate 16 is pulled up by an elevator 20, during which the cut-off gate 16 is removed from the door groove 12b of a fixed dam on its way of being pulled up and receives a great water pressure because its only one end is supported. Since the water pressure acts on the roller 16d of the cut-off gate 16 but is received by the wall of a cross-shaped groove 15 drilled in the levee 13, the one end-supported cut-off gate 16 can be exactly pulled up even when receiving a great water pressure during the water run-off period. The cut-off gate 16 so pulled up is moved toward a pillar 21 side by a hoist 23 and rested on fixed part.
