Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve convenience of use, in a device used for an electronic copying machine or the like, capable of continuous supply of a preset number of paper sheets, by constituting the device in such a manner that supply indication of paper is displayed when a detected stored quantity in a storage is not more than the preset number of sheets. CONSTITUTION:A number of copying sheets is set by a key on a control panel 1, then a control circuit 35 outputs a preset number of sheets to driver units 41, 42, simultaneously compares a signal of the preset number of sheets with detected signal of paper quantity detector unitw 29, 301, 302 in a cassette. If a quantity of sheets is more than the preset number of sheets, a copying operation controller 36 is driven to perform copying. If the preset number of sheets is more than the quantity of sheets, a buzzer 52 is sounded through a driver 43, and a paper supply display unit 9 is turned on through a driver 40 by a latch circuit 39. In this way, supply of paper is indicated, and convenience of use can be improved.
