Next when armature voltage reaches the rated voltage, the arithmetic controlling device 5 diminishingly controls the field current by means of calculating the reference field flux PHIREF so that said armature voltage may not exceed said rated voltage. Moreover when the armature voltage is the rated voltage and the field flux becomes the weakening flux, the arithmetic controlling device 5 transmits the material velocity limiting signal to the material velocity arithmetic unit 7 in order to decelerate the material velocity so that the material velocity may not exceed the maximum revolution of the motor at this time.
