Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the range of the working displacement in the optical axis direction of an objective lens, by holding an optical pickup at a mobile part which can have a displacement to the optical axis direction and giving a displacement to the mobile part in the optical axis direction by means of a driving source which is driven by the DC component of the focus error signal. CONSTITUTION:An inner case 31 containing an optical pickup, i.e., a mobile part is displaced in the optical axis direction of an objective lens secondary driving devide 6 by means of a driving force transmitting mechanism stored in an outer case 32. The rotation of a motor 36 is converted into a linear motion of a cam 38 by a gear mechanism 37. Thus the post 41 of a roller 42 moves up and down, i.e., in the optical axis direction to give a displacement the centroid part 40 of a middle 33 of the case 31 to the optical axis direction. The degree of this displacement is equivalent to the DC component of the focus error signal which is supplied to the motor 36. The direction of the displacement is held accurately at the optical axis direction by the effect of the rubbing mechanisms 35 and 35'.
