Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to read the output as a temperature regardless of the presence or absence of the mounted heat sensitive paper, by measuring the variation in the resistance value of the heat generating resistor due to the rise and fall of the temperature and measuing the temperature of the heat generating resistor from the temperature resistance coefficient. CONSTITUTION:A bridge circuit which includes the heat generating resistor 4 is adjusted so that it is balanced at a room temperature. When a pulse voltage V1 is applied to said bridge circuit from a terminal 1, the resistor 4 is heated. At this time, the temperature T of the resistor 4 is proportional to V2/V1.A1.alpha, where A1 is the gain of a differential amplifier 10, alpha is the temperature resistance coefficient of the resistor 4, and V2 is an output voltage of a terminal 3. The temperature of the resistor 4 during a cooling period after the current conduction and heating can be found from the same proportional constant, by applying a minute current to the terminal 1, and varying the gain of the differential amplifier 10 by IC switches 9, with the temperature variation in the resistor 4 being proportional to the output voltage. Therefore, by using the temperature resistance coefficient of the heat generating body, the temperature can be directly read from the output.
