Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a residual stress due to the strain of heat treatment by a method wherein at least one of a sun roller, a planetary roller and an inner roller is formed into an elastic roller having a U-shaped section and a plurality of fine radial grooves are provided on the side face of the elastic roller. CONSTITUTION:The inner roller 300 in the planetary roller type power transmission device is provided with an inside peripheral surface 300a abutting against respective planetary rollers and side surfaces 300b consisting of thin disc sections 300b', 300b'' provided at the outside of this peripheral surface 300a orthogonally to both side rims thereof, so as to form the elastic roller having the U-shaped section. A plurality of fine grooves (a) directed to the radial directions of the side surfaces 300b are provided circumferentially with proper intervals therebetween.
