Abstract
PURPOSE:To impvoe safety in an emergency of the boiler such as explosion by an arrangement wherein an opening is formed in the middle of a circuit for introducing gas produced in a gasifying device of waste tires into a combustion chamber and a safety drain is provided at the opening which is designed to open when an abnormal gas pressure occurs. CONSTITUTION:In the hot water boiler in which the gasifying device of waste tires 2 is located at the base, and the gas procued in a gasifying chamber 12 of the device 2 is introduced into the combustion chamber through a U-shaped circuit 4 and a passage 15, the safety drain 13 which includes a rectangular cylinder 17 with a flange 16 is mounted on the outer wall part of a circuit 4 connecting the gasifying chamber 12 and combustion chamber. To the tip end of the cylinder 17 rectangular frame 20 of a cover member 7 is fitted. The cover member 7 is designed to slide along four guide rods 6 for example which are mounted between the flange 16 and a cover plate 8. The cover member 7 is normally biased in the closing direction by a spring 9 which is received at the both ends by cylinders 22 provided at the cover member 7 and cover plate 8 and opens when an abnormal pressure occurs in the gasifying chamber 12 or the like.
