Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure reception of a copying paper rapidly with a collator without using a home position as an initial position, by moving the the collator to the nearest initial position to be decided on in accordance with a number of copies set, and successively receiving the copying papers. CONSTITUTION:A bin having an address A of a collator 2c having the maximum number of bins and copying paper feed roller pairs 52a and 52b, 53a and 53b are arranged opposite to each other, and the address A is detected through the holes 73... of a frame 62 and a photosensor 74. The nearest initial position of the collator 2c is decided by calculation in accordance with this addressd number A, the maximum number of bins B, and the number of copies set P. The collator 2c successively moves from the initial position in the fixed direction, and after movement in accordance with the number of copies, the copies of the next original are moved successively in the reverse direction and received into the bins, thus permitting the collator to be controlled by likewise repetition, and reception of the copying papers to be effected rapidly and exactly with the collator because the fixed home position is not used as an initial position.
