Abstract

1440557 Delivering sheets XEROX CORP 8 March 1974 [9 March 1973] 10510/74 Heading B8R Sheets delivered from a xerographic copier are deposited in succession on to a plurality of trays 7, Figs. 2 and 3, a depositing means 132 carrying diverter fingers 150 moving along a vacuum conveyer 115 by means of a pin 136 engaging a helical groove 124 in a rotating cam member 122, while at the same time a member 144 rotates with the cam member by means of a pin 148 engaging an axial groove 126 in the cam member, the member 144 having a groove 146 engaging a cam follower 152 on each tray so as to swing the tray which is receiving a sheet about a pivot 155 and widen the sheet-receiving opening. A reversible conveyer 113 is used to invert sheets when duplex operation is being used.
