Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a copy to be made on plain paper, and to enhance copy quality, by forming a copying material composed of a sublimable dye layer and an upper photosensitive foamable resin layer on a support. CONSTITUTION:An original pattern 4 is overlaid on a copying material composed of a sublimable dye layer 2 and a photosensitive foamable layer 3 formed on a support made of art paper, a polyester film, or the like, and light L is projected from the side of the pattern 4. Then, heat H is applied to the layer 3 at 100-150 deg.C to form foamed resin parts 6. A material to be copied on, e.g., a plain paper 5 is brought into close contact with the laye 3, and heated to 100-150 deg.C. At that time, the sublimable dye sublimes from the layer 2, passes through the parts 6, and attaches to the surface of the material 5 to form an image. The sublimable dye is coated in 1-20g/m<2> thickness, and the photosensitive foamable resin layer is formed in 5-10mum thickness.
