Abstract

PURPOSE: A hair-treating composition that is prepared by adding a cationic surface active agent and a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether to water or aqueous ethanol at a specific ratio, thus preventing hair damage by heat and showing no stickiness, even when used very often.
CONSTITUTION: The objective hair-treating composition is prepared by adding (A) 0.1W1.0wt% of a cationic surface active agent of forumlaI(R1WR4 are alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, polyoxyethylene where one or two of them are 12W22C alkyl and the remainings are 1W3C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or polyoxyethylene; X is halogen, alkylsulfate with 1W2C alkyls and (B) 0.1W2.0wt% of polyoxyalklylene ether of formula II (R5 is 4W22C alkyl; PO is propylene oxide; EO is ethylene oxide, PO/EO ratio is 1/9W8/2; n is 20W200), as essential ingredients, to water or aqueous ethanol at I/II weight ratio of 3/7W6/4.
