Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily decide whether sintered compacts are good or not, and not only to improve its productivity but also to secure its quality, by measuring the pressure which a die, each punch, etc. receive from the green compact, and thickness dimensions of each part of the sintered compact which have been compacted, and comparing them with each reference value. CONSTITUTION:When pressing is started at first, receiving pressure in case of compacting, of an upper punch 7, an iner punch 11, a core rod 12, and an outer punch 10 is measured by pressure sensors 6, 16, 21 and 14 installed to each moving part, and each measured receiving pressure signal is inputted to each comparator. In the comparator, said signal is compared with a set reference signal, and whether it is within an allowable range or not is decided. On the other hand, after compacting, sintered compact which have been knocked out are fed to an automatic dimension measuring device, an upper slide plate provided with magnetic sensors 29a, 29b and 29c is made to go down by operation of hydraulic cylinders 23, 24, also a lower slide plate 26 provided with magnetic sensors 30a, 30b and 30c lifts, and each sensor press-contacts with each measured part of each parts and executes a measurement of dimensions.
