CONSTITUTION: Brevibacterium ammoniagenes KY13196 strain (FERM-P No.3791) obtained by the varying induction of a microorganism, e.g. Brevibacterium ammoniagenes KY13184 strain, which is a variant strain belonging to thegenus Brevibacterium, and requiring at least adenine for the growth thereof, and capable of accumulating 5'-inosinic acid without substantially reducing the amount of produced 5'-inosinic acid in a fermenting culture medium sterilized with steam at 120°C for 30W60min under pressure from that in a fermenting culture medium sterilized at 120°C for 10min under pressure is cultivated in the culture medium sterilized under the enhanced conditions to collect the aimed 5'-inosinic acid from the culture fluid and microbial cell.
