Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate a high level of voltage as desired regardless of an increment of the switching frequency, by setting a diode and a capacitor which is charged by a power supply between a primary winding and the power supply of a flyback transformer. CONSTITUTION:The primary winding L of a flyback transformer T receives the voltage from a power supply E via a transistor Q which is turned on and off by the horizontal scanning frequency. Thus the voltage of several hundreds volt is obtained from the resonance of the winding L and a resonance capacitor C. As shown in the diagram, a diode D' and a capacitor C' are provided between the power supply E and the winding L. The capacitor C' is charged by the source E via the diode D' and also by the stored energy of the winding L. As a result, a high voltage generating circuit can supply a sufficiently large primary current to the winding L and can produce a desired high level of voltage at a secondary winding. Thus this circuit is suitably applied to a monitor TV, etc. having a high image resolution.
