CONSTITUTION:A CCD control circuit 3 receives the output signal of an oscillator 1 and delivers an image signal Se to a CCd module 2. On the other hand, a counter 4 receives the output of the oscillator 1 and delivers the threshold levels successively from an ROM5. The threshold value given from the ROM5 is converted into an analog signal Sd through a D/A converter 6 and fed to a comparator 7 along with the signal Se. At the same time, the threshold levels forming a dither matrix are written successively into the ROM5 in correspondence to the addresses. The threshold value exists only in a range of 0.3-1, for example. In other words, a lower limit level 0.3 is set. As a result, a high-contrast image containing no background signal is recorded at a recording part 8.
