Abstract
PURPOSE:To press copying paper to a ladder pattern and to heat it satisfactorily and inexpesively with simple constitution by pressing the copying paper on the ladder pattern by means of the ionic wind of an ionic wind generator. CONSTITUTION:A microstrip line 1 is constituted of a dielectric base plate 2, a central conductor 3 and a grounding plate 4, and a ladder pattern 6 is formed to the conductor 3. An ionic wind generator 8 constituted of an electric discharge electrode 9 and a grounding electrode 10 is provided in the upper part of the pattern 6. When copying paper stuck with a toner is conveyed onto the line 1, microwaves are supplied from a coaxial cable 7, and an about 12kV DC voltage is applied between the electrodes 9 and 10, whereby corona discharge is generated and ionic wind is generated. The copying paper is pressed by this wind pressure, and the toner is heated and fixed satisfactorily by the leaking radio waves.
