Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor having high sensitivity over the whole visible range and the wavelength range of a semiconductor laser as well as superior endurance by forming a charge generating layer contg. a specified trisazo compound and a charge transferring layer contg. a specified anthracenne compound. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating layer contg. a triphenylamine trisazo compound represented by formulaIis formed on an electrically conductive support, and on the charge generating layer a charge transferring layer contg. an anthraracene compound represneted by formula II (where R1 is H or halogen, R2 is H, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, dialkylamino or optionally substituted diaralkylamino, and R3 is H, alkyl or halogen) is laid to manufacture an electrophotographic receptor. This receptor has flat high sensitivity over the whole visible range and the wavelength range of a semiconductor laser as well as superior charging properties, endurance, etc.
