Abstract

PURPOSE:To acelerate rise of temperature in a foot warmer frame at an initial period of use when the warmer starts to work and to enable to perform an energy-saving, by a method wherein a heat accumulating member filled with a heat accumulating agent is detachably mounted within the title frame. CONSTITUTION:A heat accumulating member 5 is formed in a flat hollow rectangular container and is filled with a heat accumulating agent 6 comprising, for example, kalium alum, one surface 5a is, for example, glazed to be colored in black with a black paint, and other surface 5b is colored in non-black. In case it is used, the black surface part 5a is positioned in a way to turn upward and accumulates solar heat, and is then removably attached to, for example, an under surface of a top plate 2 at the inside of a foot warmer frame 1 so that it surrounds an infrared heater unit 4. This permits accelerating of rise of temperature in the foot warmer frame 1 at an initial time of use when it starts to actuate through radiation of the heat accumulating member 5, and enables saving of the consumption power of the foot warmer also at a time when it is used subsequently.
