Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect a flaw or a fine hole of gloves easily at any time, by obtaining DC voltage from a commercial electric power supply by a switching control system, applying it to insulating gloves being an object to be tested, and deciding whether a feeble current flowing in that case is large or small. CONSTITUTION:Insulating gloves 9 to be tested are put into a water tank, are pinch-held by a clip, etc., and after that, an electrode 10 is put into the inside of the gloves, and an electrode 12 is put into the water tank. As soon as an electric power supply is turned on, for instance, DC voltage of 300V is generated in a testing circuit 6, and is applied between the electrodes 10, 12. On the other hand, in a detecting circuit 8, for instance, DC voltage of 10V is induced, and it is applied to a comparator CO and the second light emission diode LED2. In case when the insulating gloves 9 are in a satisfactory state and a leakage current is within an allowable range, the LED2 is lighted even when voltage across a variable resistance R22 is a reference value or below, but if a current exceeding a prescribed value flows, the voltage across the R22 rises, voltage exceeding a threshold level flows to an output of the CO, and as a result, a light emission diode Rh generats light, therefore, insulation failure can be tested easily.
