Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a piston device which is improved in accuracy of alignment with a connecting rod and in accuracy of joining to the connecting rod by spherical pair, and which can ensure a clearance size of its slide surface with a ferric cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A spheroid 2 of a connecting rod 4 and a piston cover 8 are aligned and resin 9 having the low melting point such as quadrivalent ethylene fluoride is filled therein, thereby to ensure the length L between the center O of the large end portion 3 of the connecting rod 4 and the top surface 12 of the piston cover 8. Since the coefficient of thermal expansion of the piston cover 8 is equivalent to that of a ferric cylinder 6, the clearance size of a slide surface can be also ensured. A suitable gap between the spheroid 2 and the resion 9 is ensured by previously heating the spheroid 2 to be expanded and filling the resin therein. A circular projecting portion 10 is adapted to prevent the resin 9 from slipping away.
