Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease a distance between centers of a crankshaft and balancer shaft, by building a balancer mass in fully circumferentially shaped bearing parts in both end sides of the balancer shaft, considering only torsional strength and forming the balancer shaft to a thin shaft. CONSTITUTION:To prevent unsatisfaction for oil in a crank case to be separated, a balancer mass 8a in the center is built in an almost half in a fully circumferential shaped bearing part 9a opened with lateral both ends, while balancer masses 8b, 8c in both ends are built in fully circumferential shaped sealed bearing parts 9b, 9c. Each of the bearing parts 9a, 9b, 9c is fitted to supporting parts 11a, 11b, 11c at a crank case side respectively through metal bearings 10a, 10b, 10c and rotatably supported. Centrifugal force generated by each balancer mass causes no bending moment in balancer shafts 2, 3, and each balancer shaft 2, 3 can be formed to a thin shaft by considering only the torsional strength.
