CONSTITUTION:The outputs of a bearing detector 1, distance sensor 2, grade sensor 50 to detect road grade, and reading device to read out map data from casette tapes are supplied to a micro computer 4. The micro-computer 4 stores in the memory the grade signals from the sensor 50 and seeks average grade signal by a grade signal from the sensor 50 and a grade signal in the memory when correcting next distance data. By the average signal the distance data from the sensor 2 is corrected into horizontal travle distance data, and furthermore grade signal from the sensor 50 at the time of correction is stored in the memory for next correction. A CRT controller 5 displays the position at present on a CRT6 based on corrected distance data and bearing signal from the sensor 1.
