CONSTITUTION:The kinds of tasks that computers 81-8m can handle and the estimated values of necessary times for task processing are stored in a storage device 3 previously. Processing requests for tasks are accepted by an accepting device 1, which transfers request information to a task starting time deciding device 4 and also transfer request contents, task unit by unit, to a storage device 2. The device 2 secures an empty register in a task priority controller 5 to store task information. The device 4 retrieves the estimated value of the corresponding task of the device on the basis of the task information and transfers the value to the device 5, wherein it is recorded. Each computer 8j transfers information on empty state of the computer to a controller 7 at constant intervals of time, and a task assignment deciding device 6 checks the device 5 periodically to find a task having the earliest time, thereby assigning the task to a computer specified by the empty state.
