Abstract

PURPOSE:To transmit data and a control signal with one transmission cable, by constituting a data signal transmitted from a host side device to a terminal device with a serial signal having an idling work before a message word. CONSTITUTION:A serial data signal S3 transmitted from a signal output section 1 consists of a mewssage work MSWS3a and an idling word section IDWS3b transmitted ahead the message word. The signal S3 is inputted to a terminal device 2 and a receiver circuit 12 of a power switch section 11 via a transmission cable 3. The circuit 12 transmits an output of +5V when the IDSW3b is incoming and an output S4 changing between 0 and 5V according to the level change of the MSWS3a to a rectifier 13. The rectifier 13 rectifies the signal S4 and converts the signal S4 into a signal S5 at 5V at the period of the S3b and at 2.5V in average at the period of the S3a and the result is converted into a timer 14. The timer 14 transmits a signal S6 delayed by a time T1 at level 1 during the period of the signals S3b and S3a and controls a relay 16 via a driver 15. The relay switches the power supply from a power supply 17 to the device 2.
