Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a titled reflection material having whiteness and light scattering characteristics owing to transmitted light and reflected light and having high reflection performance by providing resin layers contg. a fluorescent pigment and/or a fluorescent dye on the surfaces of a (semi)transparent resin base material. CONSTITUTION:Coating liquid prepd. by dispersing a white fluorescent pigment and/or a fluorescent dye in a resin binder is coated on at least one surface of a (semi)transparent resin base material 20 of propylene, polyester or the like contained with inorg. white pigments such as TiO2, CaCO3 or the like and microfoam, whereby resin layers 10, 30 are provided. In a bright part where there is external light, scattering characteristic reflected light of adequately white is obtained, and when back light is used in a dark place, the scattering characteristic transmitted light of adequately white uniform over the entire display surface is obtained. This material is adequately usable as a light reflection material for liquid crystal display devices.
