Abstract

PURPOSE:To find a leak of water quickly and easily, by installing a water leak detector such as a pressure-electric transducer having the water leak detecting function in a water pipe. CONSTITUTION:The watertight structure is given to a water leak detecting part including a pressure-electric transducer 5, and this detecting part is attached to a water pipe semipermanently. The output signal of the transducer 5 is applied to a band pass filter 23 through an amplifying circuit 22, and signal components other than an oscillation frequency due to a leak of wate are cut, and this output signal is inputted to a crest value discriminating circuit 24, and only a signal having a certain magnitude or more is distinguished and is applied together with the output of a clock pulse generating circuit 25 to a discriminating circuit 26. Only when the output of the crest value discriminating circuit 24 is generated continuously for a certain time, the discriminating circuit 26 discriminates a leak of water. The output of the discriminating circuit 26 is stored in a storage circuit 27 and is displayed on a display part 28.
