Abstract

PURPOSE:To manage the leak of water of a water pipe concentratively, by providing fixedly a water leak detector in the water pipe semipermanently and connecting the detection signal to a common telephone line through a coupling circuit. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of a pressure-electric transducer 5 is applied to a band pass filter 23 through an amplifying circuit 22, and signal components other than the oscillation frequency due to a leak of water are eliminated. Next, only a signal having a certain magnitude or more is distinguished by a crest value discriminating circuit 24 and is applied together with the output of a clock pulse generating circuit 25 to a discriminating circuit 26, and a leak of water is discriminated when the output from the discriminating circuit 24 is generated continuously for a certain time. The output of the discriminating circuit 26 is stored in a storage circuit 27 and is displayed on a display part 28. The output of the storage circuit 27 is connected to a telephone line coupling device through an output terminal 9.
