Abstract

PURPOSE:To wash an automobile well without damaging its painting surface, by executing rinsing or using a detergent to soften contaminants and then softly brushing the surface of the automobile while sprinkling washing water and undercoat wax and by thereafter sprinkling finish wax and removing the water drops. CONSTITUTION:In the first forward passage of the body 1 of a washing machine, the painting surface of an automobile is rinsed with a sufficient quantity of high-pressure water from a high-pressure spray arch 9 so that contaminants adhering to the painting surface are softened. In the first backward passage of the washing machine body 1, a sufficient quantity of detergent is sprinkled from a detergent arch 7 onto the contaminated surface so that oily or fatty contaminants not enough softened by the water are caused to float up by the chemical action of the detergent. In the second forward passage, soft brushing is effected by slowly rotating brushes 11, 12 while water and undercoat wax are sprinkled from a rinsing arch 6 and an undercoat wax arch 5. In the second backward passage, finish wax is sprinkled from a finish wax arch 4 and the water drops are removed by an intense cool wind.
