Abstract
PURPOSE:To execute a phase detecting operation correctly and exactly, by suppressing the local oscillating jitters by a video carrier signal and an output signal of a video intermediate frequency amplifying stage, and detecting its output signal by a synchronization detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A TV signal received by an antenna 1 is supplied to a tuner 2, and a video intermediate frequency signal outputted from the tuner 2 is supplied to a mixing circuit 7 through an intermediate frequency amplifying stage 4. On the other hand, an output of the tuner 2 is supplied to a mixing circuit 8, too, is frequency converted by the circuit 8, and is supplied to a narrow band BPF10. In the BPF10, only a video carrier signal is extracted from an output signal of the circuit 8. This carrier signal is shaped as to its waveform in a limiting circuit 11 and is supplied to the circuit 7. Accordingly, in the circuit 7, the video carrier signal which has been frequency-converted and extracted is added to the video intermediate frequency signal, and it is frequency-converted. By utilizing an output of this circuit 7, the detection is executed by a synchronization detecting circuit 12, and a demodulated video signal is obtained in the output side of its circuit 12.
