CONSTITUTION:As for an erroneous part on a scanning line, the scanning line concerned 21 and its just previous scanning line 22 are divided into plural blocks, respectively, and a correlative value is derived between adjacent blocks between both the scanning lines. Generally speaking, in case when decoding is executed correctly, the correlative value takes a value near to ''1'', and in case when an error is contained, it becomes a low value of 0.5 or so. Accordingly, when a threshold level is decided in advance for the correlative value, a block having an error can be detected. As for the block having an error, reasonable information is presumed from the scanning lines immediately before and after the scanning line concerned, and is substituted for information of the block having an error.
