Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a power transmission which is capable of transmitting power extending from small horsepower to large horsepower, by using a pair of bevel gears properly, in a captioned rotary tiller with a built-in bevel gear system driving a rotary tiller shaft provided at the lower part of the interior of a transmission case. CONSTITUTION:A rotary tiller to be connected with the rear part of a tractor possesses a rotary tiller frame consisting of an upper transmission case with a built-in transmission system which receives power from the tractor, a lower transmission case 8 with a built-in bevel gear system 7 which drives a tiller shaft 6 and an intermediate transmission case 70 connecting both the upper and the lowr transmission cases. The bevel gear system 7 is constituted with a bevel pinion 9, bevel gears 10 and 11 which gear with the bevel pinion 9 from the right and the left sides and a relay bevel pinion 12 which gears with both the gear 10 and 11 on the other side of the above pinion 9. The bevel gears 10 and 11 and the relay bevel pinion 12 are incorporated in the lower transmission case 8 so as to allow free attachment and detachement, and a power transmission is made variable through proper use of the gears 10 and 11.
