Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a compact double combination pump by arranging two sets of pump mechanisms with line symmetry in a pump casing, making opposing gear trains mesh with each other, and making one gear a drive side while making other three gears driven gears. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of pump mechanisms PA, PB are arranged with line symmetry with respect to a center line C in a pump casing 5 formed by fixing a flange 3 and a cover 4 to the front and rear of a middle case 2. The pump mechanisms PA, PB respectively have gears 6A, 7A and 6B, 7B respectively meshing with each other and respectively provided with common outlets 8A, 8B for respective gear sets. Driving one gear 6A, the other three gears 7A, 6B, 7B are made to be driven. Suction ports 15E, 15F are formed at positions displaced by about 180 deg. from the outlets 8A, 8B in the middle case 2 are made to be connected to a common suction port 16 bored in a cover 4.
