Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify constitution by composing a reception part of a couple of photodiodes connected to a plus and a minus power source and an output resistance, and thus eliminating the need for a differential amplifier which was used as an active element conventionally at the reception part. CONSTITUTION:When a current (i) flows through a sensor part 1, light emitting diodes 3a and 3b turn on by the current (i) and their beams of light are guided to the photodiodes 4A and 4B of a reception part 2 through optical fibers 5a and 5b. The outputs of the photodiodes 4A and 4B connected to a plus and a minus power source are led to a common output resistance R, and the waveform of a voltage developed across the resistance R is led out as an output (v). Consequently, the same waveform as that of the current (i) of the sensor part 1 is outputted and a current flowing a point insulated from the ground is observed.
