Abstract

PURPOSE:To always maintain stable combustion without lowering the temperature of flame, by mixing and vaporizing fuel and water in the immediate front of a burner, and by burning the mixed gas after it is heated. CONSTITUTION:This combustion apparatus is provided with a fuel-water mixing, gas generating means 30, into which water is fed, with the pressure applied to it, through a piping 25, as well as liquid fuel such as kerosene or heavy oil is fed, with the pressure applied to it, through a piping 15. The mixed gas generated in the means 30 is burnt in a burner 40. The above-mentioned means 30 is composed of a main body 31, made of heat-resistant material such as titanium, and a heating part 37 to heat the main body 31. The main body 31, which is nearly cylinderical, is composed of a plurality of small chambers, respectively consisting of a mixing part 34, a vaporizing part 35, and heating parts 36a-36c, connected to each other upwardly from the bottom, by the intermediary of partition walls 32 in a main body 31. The heating parts 36a-36c are heated by a heating part 37 which is composed of a heater 38 surrounded by a heat insulating material 39, and the mixed gas is changed to the gas with high pressure and with high temperature in the heating parts 36a-36c.
