Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure sensor detecting a power applied to a part to be pressed, by laminating a pressure-sensitive electroconductive rubber, a rigid body smaller than the rubber and a flexible member to be pressed sequentially on a plurality of electrode couples, and by measuring a resultant value of resistance values of electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A printed circuit board 2 having three electrode couples 2a, 2b and 2c is set at the bottom of a box body 1. On the board 2 are laminated sequentially a pressure-sensitive electroconductive rubber 3, a rigid-body plate 4 smaller than the rubber 3, which is held in the central part between the rubber 3 and a pad 5, and the pad 5 which is a flexible member to be pressed, and thus a pressure sensor is prepared. Lead wires of the terminals a-f of the electrode couples 2a, 2b and 2c of the board 2 are drawn out from wiring port 1a located at the bottom of the box body 1, the terminals b and c, for instance, out of those of the electrode couples 2a and 2c corresponding to a part at which the rigid-body plate 4 is not held between are connncted, and one terminal e of the electrode couple 2b corresponding to a part at which the rigid-body plate 4 is held between is connected to the termianl a, while the other terminal f is connected to the terminal d through the intermediary of a resistor Ro. By this contitution, a parallel resultant resistance value RL is detected suitably, in particular, for a pressure sensor employed for the hand of a robot or the like.
